Your target now is the loca- SG1A tion of the F_ Ilike the one in the photo- graph I have shown you. Go now to the location of the SG1A like the one in the photograph I have shown you. Describe the present state of construction in the surrounding area to me. PAUSE #01: Have... feeling of boxes ... sort of a organized trench system ... Tryin' to back up a little bit to get a view of the countryside... #66: Describe your relative position of observation. #01: It's kinda backed into the air...'cause you look through these small .... it's a plateau of some kind ...... getting sort of a ragged border ..... looks like a IVII...'V" is lying the border to us. It's to the south ....... Getting a lot of impressions here ... give me ... give me some minutes here. #66: 1 will wait. PAUSE #01: The, uh ............. the, uh, sort of a line, like a sl.okle_ shaped line running from the...upper left corner of Soviet Union, straight down across the middle to the right, down to the bottom right corner, but it doesn't...doesn't go all the way across the country, it only goes like halfway ...... down towards a IV" shaped pattern in the lower border. There's a site that's got all kinds of trenches cut and what looked like precast forms poured in the ground. Also getting an impression of a, uh...it's separate, it's like an impression of a plan or a ... a map that might exist, uh, with the, with locations already on it. I want you to look carefully at the plan. It's not necessary for you to report it to me now, but I want you to look carefully at it so that you can draw it for me, and after you've examined the plan I want you to return to the site and I have some specific questions about the site. #01: Okay, I get a, they're like fan shapes...like, uh, uh, areas of coverage. There's three of 'em and they interlock ... #66: Okay, it's not necessary to describe it, just.look at it very, very carefully so that you can reproduce it later. There's a golden "S"... #66: 1 didn't understand you. #01: Golden "S". Two, two long interconnected patterns with the cross- hatch patterns going sideways cutting 'em at 900 angles. #66: Okay. Center yourself over the site now at 50,000 feet. Center yourself over the F at 50,000 feet. #01: Okay. #66: All right. Now as I back you into space, I want you to focus down on the site, so that you may recognize where in the country this is. Now as we go up and pass through cloud covers, do not let the clouds obscure.your vision. 50,000 feet looking straight down. Now 100,000 feet. Remember... Now 200P,000 feet. Remember... Now 50 miles. At this time it is your opportunity to add any- thing that you may feel appropriate ................. #01: Uh@ I got it ... I don't have anything to add. #66: Okay. Remembering clearly, cleanly and precisely everything :that you have seen let's now prepare to draw those impressions you have had. #01: Okay, the, the, uh... location is the shaded area in between these two towns. #20.5: Okay, are those the two towns that you refer to in the ses- sion? #01: Yeah, right. These are the t-, they, it was sort of.evenly spaced directly between a line drawn between these two towns. And I can't, although I can't remember right now which of the towns had the rail line comin' out of it, but there's an additional rail line.. It might even go from. town to town. It's like they added a rail line. Uht it's just.north of this, uh, Lake Balkha8h, and I think that's the water course what I found to be a river or something coming out of some mountains that went from east to west. And, uh, the 'IV" shape was where, uh, Druzhba is located. That's kind.of a IV 11 shape, distinct IV" shape in the border. And then I was getting also, 3@ Approved For Release 2003/0@9.@1@4@88RO00500650001-6 Approved For Release 20 700 mQQ0500650001-6 #01: uh, okay, I was getting these fan shapes. I'll try to do these fan shapes if I can. I'll draw lem on here ........ I'll just mark this in red on the map. These fan shapes I was getting was ... really huge, like this. And I was getting uh, the additional location that I had last time, well, the additional two. I was getting one up in, uh...let me see here, somewhere up in this area. Close to the mountains ... and this area here. And I was gettin' a fan shape off of that, was like this. And then the one over here... somewhere right in this area here I guess ... Then I was gettin' a fan shape off of this.... That sort of a thing. I still think, okay, uh, that there's gonna be more of these... you know, that these aren't the only, uh... these aren't the only ones, that there's gonna be at least two more of these. Buti uh, they're pointed in the direction of the fan, you . know, they point out in the direction of the fan. I probably haven't done justice to the fan shapes, 'cause the plan I was lookin' at these fans were huge, and it's just incon- ceivable to me that they're usin' a single radar or whatever it is, to-produce these fans, or this ranget this kinda range. They must be doin' some real tricks with the atmosphere. But, uh, that's essentially it, I guess. #20.5: Okay. #01: But I had a real clear, for some reason I was gettin' overlay -%Noe from this really clear impression of this map, of this over- all plan rolled on a table somewhere. #20.5: Why don't you do me a drawing anyways, uh, even though we got the map- #01: Of the ground layout. #20.5: -of the ground layout, including this "L" shaped thing with the storage, etc. #01: Yeah. Okay, uh, on page one what we have here is like an PL" shaped group of three storage areas. They're all equal type box shape patterns on the ground and they're all kinda connected. And there's this rail line that comes up from the, uh...1 hesitate to say the south, 'cause I'm not sure where south and north are. There's this rail line that comes up into that storage area. And the6licoming,butta the storage area and going-around the, the lip of this grid pattern is a golden "S", and I don't know if that's a switchback road or some form of trench or something that's being constructed. You know, like a ditch or a covered jway, or something.. And then the, uh, trench lines are depicted like a fan shape, plain old-fashioned Chinese fan with cross bars. And I get, whenever.I look to these trench lines I get the feeling like Approved For Release 2003/09/1V- C-M-MNOWA788RO00500650001-6 Approved For Release 2003/-'-'." ' ~lj%:r-ir~-1009~'--A-A-7FtRROO0500650001-6 #01: there's, there's some kind of pipe gridding and water that has to do with those trench lines. And I don't, you know, it's like they're trying to create this huge ground plain or something for the construction. #20.5: But that is discernable from above? #01: Yes. And in the upper left corner is buildings. #20.5: There are buildings here? #01: Yeah, there's just a lot of big group of buildings, they're like temporary buildings, wooden buildings. And, uh, I get the feeling also like it's, uh ... there'sq I don't get any snow cover feeling either, as I had last time with the other site. So it's either too early in the winter for snow there or it doesn't snow there. #66: When you first started the session, almost the very first words out of your mouth were "crates". #01: Mm-hmm. That's in the storage a rea down here. These are all exposed storage areas. They got things just lay out all over the place ... but with crates, uh-huh... #20.5: Okay. #01: And that's it, I guess .... #20.5: Wher e is this huge river or waterway or whatever? #01: That's south, due south of here. #20.5: How far away is that? Do you know? Do you have an estimate? #01: No, I don't, I couldn't even estimate. It's close, though. I mean from 50,000 feet you can see the water clearly to the south. #20.5: Okay, now, you said twice now to the south. Are you sure it's to the south? #01: The water is, yeah. #20.5: Okay. #01: 'Cause there's a southern border just below the What I said is,'ias far as this goes, this is page one, I have no idea what's north, east, south or west. 'Cause I don't know what my orientation was when I was viewing this. #20.5: Okay, but when you saw thet the water, where was the water in relationship to the rail line? 5 Approved For Release 2003/09/11-:-OA-F@@ 0788ROO0500650001-6 Approved For Release 2003/09/11 : QJA-2LJ92&-DQZAW"0500650001-6 #01. To the rail line? I don't know... #66: Can you draw for us a larger scale.map, um, on page two here, and just make the site maybe an "XII, and then show the, where the waterway and the border was in relationship to that. #01: Sure. I can do that, but I can't tell you whether the rail line came in from the south orthe north, because I didn't perceive lem as a single entity, I was seeing the site or I was seeing the general location of the site in@relationship' to terrain. #66: The information about the rail line and everything came when I asked you to look for most prominent feature and then you gave me several items. #01: Right'. It's, uh, you know... there's really nothing prominent there, other than dirt where ground should be and that sort of thing. I don't know how to answer that. I feel like, you know, like if it was being built next to the Eiffel Tower ,or something I could say yeah, there's, I see the Eiffel Towero but I don't know what's familiar or unfamiliar. I got this, on page two I got this course of water running from east to west. Okay? And north of that was the site location. And I got a IV " shaped border. And I had a feeling like there was.mountains came down in.a "Y" like this over the site. There was a city to the north and there was a city to the south, and the distance between the two are equal distance. #20.5: Okay, that's not what you said before, though. Okay? You said before that the, uh, uh, the rail line comes from the closest city to the site. #01: Mm-hmm. #20.5: Okay. From the closest city. #01: 1 understand that@ but I'm saying that what I'm seeing is two, only two cities, and they're both about equal distance from the site. #20.5: Okay, well- may be that in order to get from the northern city to the site you would have to go through some, you know, impossible mountains, and that would preclude it's nearness. I don't, you know, understand why I said that, that way, but ..... #01: 1 don't, you know, I don't know why I said that, but ... it #20.5: Okayt I don't have any other questions. #01: Okay? That's all you got? #20.5: Good, very good. 6 Approved For Release 20037091 1 Approved For Release TgQ4jAPWLQ7;8R000500650001-6 #66: Do you have anything you want to add about the, your feeling about the session and all? #01: Yeah, I think it was a good one. I think the impressions I had of this planp whether the plan exists or not, are very clear, you know. #66: That's the one you depicted for us on the- #01: Right, on the map with the red fan, shapes. #66: Okay. #01: You know, I just came outta nowhere, I don't even know where that came from, but it was very clear and very predominent in.my, my head...
