He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches.
Bulus al-Bushi
He means that this statement extends to all the congregations of believers in all nations, generation after generation. Whoever has hearing let him hear and whoever has intelligence let him understand what the Spirit of God speaks to the holy churches concerning His promise of the Kingdom and the threat of the punishment. Therefore, if a man takes heed of the fear of God and acts piously, his reward will be doubled since he has forsaken evil and has not committed it. Instead, he has hastened to the good and has done it. Because of the love of God he has brought it to completion and has kept His commandments.
